UNI EN 14351-1
Giemme System compliance
Even though the Giemme System was conceived as a “second closure” and therefore doesn’t need to be certified like traditional windows and doors, GM Morando wanted to testify as to the quality of its product by obtaining compliance to regulation UNI EN 14351-1*.
This legislation regulates the performance of windows and doors for the following characteristics:
Air Permeability, or how many air drafts there are in the window frame at high/low pressures. The Giemme System has the highest classification or the least permeability.
Water resistance or at what atmospheric pressure does it begin to filter water. The Giemme System is compliant with regulations.
Wind resistance: the Giemme System complies with standard regulations. During the test, the Giemme System resisted wind speeds and pressures of over 100 km per hour over the entire surface area.
Safety impact test: in the test weights of 50 kg were dropped onto the weakest points of the frame. The Giemme system conformed to regulations and obtained the highest classification.
The Giemme System can be supplied with one of three choices of floor rail guides.
Both the recessed and external rail with a stopper, guarantee air permeability, resistance to the elements and safety according to regulation UNI EN 14351-1*. Instead, the option without the floor guide rail conforms to regulations for safety and wind resistance. In this case a seal brush is present in the lower part.
* the above tests were carried out on a specific sample. The glass doors can then be personalised in many different ways. It is therefore possible that the various design choices may vary the results. We would like to remind you that the test was carried out in ideal conditions and in reality some boundary conditions can vary the results.
