Hinged door

Glass doors fold up to the mounted side. Also available without floor guide rail as in the example shown.

The opening direction can be opposite to that of the folding doors. It’s also possible to insert a swing door which can open up to 180 degrees.

3D is another classic solution; with a fixed transom window (or option to open). There is also a hinged entrance door with a handle and lock. The transom window is necessary for heights of over 2900 mm.

It’s possible to create fixed parts in the centre or at the sides (see blue in the examples) with the same fixtures as the folding glass doors. In the case shown, the packaging can be chosen to be close to the fixed part or on the mount.

It’s possible to combine all the options demonstrated above (however it’s not possible to combine parts which open externally with those which open internally).

Folding up doors beyond the tight size

The top rail and floor guide rail can be extended to allow you to fold up the glass doors beyond the tight size (this option is only available with a floor guide rail).

It’s possible to create niches in which the doors can be hidden when folded up

If you need to close off an arched porch then the Giemme System is ideal: you can install the Giemme System folding doors and upper rail on the inside of the arch and then there will be no need for any unsightly horizontal beams.

The best lighting

The best way to accentuate the Giemme System is to insert recessed spotlights into the ceiling and hide the upper rail.

A good alternative is to put coloured LED lights behind semi-transparent glass doors which produce rays of coloured light all over the glass.
